Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
The time commitment is roughly two hours per week throughout the 5-week start-up training. Each week, staff will be asked to participate in approximately one hour of training and spend approximately one hour implementing the program with residents.
HOW MANY RESIDENTS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING?
During start-up training, we recommend recruiting 4 to 10 residents for individual engagement sessions. We will also cover group activities during start-up training. For group engagements, facilitators have the option of connecting the tablet a TV to accommodate larger groups.
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A TABLET TO PARTICIPATE OR CAN I USE TABLETS THAT WE ALREADY OWN?
To ensure that communities can access the recommended apps and complete the course activities, we require all communities to purchase at least one Music & Memory managed tablet for the course.
Since the course content focuses on free and widely available apps, communities will also be able to implement suggested engagement strategies using previously purchased or donated devices.
